Your strategy doesn't trade. You do.

StatWidget sits above your charts and scores the one variable most journals ignore — the trader. Readiness at the start of the day, discipline before every entry, and how both show up in your results.

The strategy doesn't lose the evaluation. It's lost on day three, after a loss, in trades you would never take at the start of the day. The day plan sets your loss limit and trade limit before the session; the entry checklist records every trade taken against them.

Equity, RBacktestLive

Backtest ≠ live trading

Same rules, different result — the difference is the person at the keyboard. StatWidget scores your readiness and every entry, so the dashboard shows exactly where live trading diverges from the backtest: which rules you skip, when, and at what cost.

Journaling after the fact

A journal filled in the evening can't stop a trade at noon. StatWidget asks the questions before the click and keeps the answers next to the result — so breaking a rule stops being a vague feeling and becomes a number you can see.

Everyone measures the strategy, not the trader. We do both.

Discipline is a skill, not a gift. Journals and analytics rank setups, win rates and R-multiples. StatWidget adds the variable they skip: you — your readiness at the start of the day, your discipline before each entry, and how both change the result of the same strategy. Three measurements, one number each.

START OF THE DAY 8 Readiness index

Sleep, emotional state, plan, loss limit, trade limit, urge to win back. Green, amber or red — and a verdict: Ready, Careful, Don't trade.

BEFORE THE ENTRY 9 Entry score

Your checklist, scored. Critical items must be answered; an entry against the plan isn't blocked — it goes on record. Confidence 1–10 included.

AFTER THE ENTRY +1.4R Outcome & emotions

Profit, stop or break-even and how you felt after. The dashboard links all three: readiness → entry score → result.

Always at hand: at the start of the day, before the entry, after the trade.

Complete the preparation and the execution in the widget, then continue the analysis in your dashboard. The first three steps each add one number to the trade — readiness, entry score, result — and the fourth shows how the first two change the third.

01

Start of the day: fill the day plan

The widget computes your readiness 1–10 and tells you honestly: trade, trade carefully, or stay out today.

02

Before entry: run the checklist

Pick a checklist for the setup, tap instrument and direction, answer your rules, note your state. Score appears live.

03

After: log the outcome

Profit, stop or B/E and emotions after — one click in the widget. Screenshot, prices, size, stars and tags — in the dashboard, whenever you have time.

04

Later: analyse in the dashboard

Every trade becomes a card with the answers, a screenshot, tags and stars. On top: custom reports and dashboards — result, win rate and R by instrument, checklist, time of day and tags, each next to your readiness and entry score — plus insights in plain words.

A widget that makes you a disciplined trader

Everything lives in the same small panel: the entry checklist with your recent symbols, the position size calculator and the builder for your own rules. No separate windows, no browser tabs.

A journal where every trade has its checklist, outcome and lesson

A trade sent from the widget lands in the journal with its checklist answers and entry score. You add the rest in the trade card in a couple of minutes — in the evening or right after the close.

  1. Checklist answersWhich items were per plan and which were against it. The 1–10 entry score is already there.
  2. Prices, stop and partial exitsThe result in R, % or $ is worked out from the entry, stop and exit prices.
  3. Chart screenshotPaste a picture from the clipboard (Ctrl+V) straight into the card — no uploads, no folders.
  4. Rating and tagsStars for execution and tags for setups, mistakes and emotions. Mistakes feed the “Cost of mistakes” report.
  5. NotesWhat you saw and what you would do differently — with formatting, lists and pictures.
  6. Filters and exportFilter by strategy, instrument, outcome and tags. Export to CSV, Excel or a PDF trade card.

Everything a trading journal shows — plus the trader

Net result, win rate, average R, breakdowns by instrument, checklist, direction, time of day and tags — and next to every number, your readiness and entry score. You see not only what the strategy earns, but what your execution adds or costs.

Questions

Does it connect to my broker?

No, on purpose. We believe every trade should come with a checklist, so discipline stays with you every time. And once the checklist is filled in, the trade is already in your stats.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Everything is stored in a local database on your machine and syncs to the dashboard when you're online.

Can an entry be blocked when the checklist is red?

No. A red score never blocks the Submit button — it's recorded as «against plan». The dashboard shows how such entries end, which works better than a lock you'd disable anyway.

Is my data private?

Checklists and trades belong to you: encrypted in transit and at rest, tied to your account only, never shared or sold. Export or delete everything at any time.

How is it different from a trading journal?

Journals analyse the trade after the fact. StatWidget works before the trade and measures the trader, not just the setup — and then gives you a deliberately simple dashboard with the usual journal analytics on top.
